Finding What Works for You

Once you move forward, you start to wonder, do I fit into my old life? It sounds like an odd question, but once you experience death, nothing is the same.

Friends. Work. Life. It's all there to welcome you back but normal no longer exists. But you aren't alone. You just need to find where you fit back in.

For me, yoga is where I found my niche. I found, for lack of a better word, peace. I was able to unplug, shut down, and simply be in every sweaty, muscle shaking pose.

I started out timid and skeptical. I was unsure I'd fit into the yoga stereotype. Fit. Flexible. Earthy. But I had to do something. I had to break out of the hermit-like lifestyle I had created for myself.

I did a basic Google search (as we do) and found Vibe Yoga. Perusing the site and looking through teacher's profiles, something in me felt relieved. They were individuals who embraced their own body types but had one common passion.

Long story short, I went and loved my new community. They greeted me with open arms, encouraged me, and simply allowed me to be.

Yoga is the perfect opportunity to be curious about who you are.

Yoga helped me find a community and allowed me to find the new normal. Find what helps you. Find what you need to feel normal again, even if it's not what you thought it would be.
